About the 2020 Conference

"Know Your Water"

In this region of the world, our islands are susceptible to various natural disasters that, without adequate preparation and responsiveness, have the potential to cause significant damage to our islands’ water resources infrastructure. This year’s theme, Improving the Islands Water Resource Resiliency, provides an opportunity for the island communities to collaborate and share proactive and reactive measures in response to natural disasters that will help mitigate the effects of such events. Conference presentation topics are tailored to educate attendees on various mitigation and response strategies, and share previous experiences to improve their island’s water resources infrastructure resiliency. As a result of this conference, attendees will be aware of available technologies, resources, and administrative and operational procedures to enhance water resources system resiliency and responsiveness to natural disasters.
