Education Committee

The purpose of the education committee is to provide our members with resources to improve their professional skill set and provide professional development opportunities.

This year, the subsection's education committee intends to:

1. Provide General, Water, and Wastewater Operator Training for GEPA operations licensure;
2. Partner with GEPA to develop Operator Certification Training;
3. Build and maintain a technical/professional library for use by all AWWA-HIWPS members;
4. Develop a joint annual training calendar for GWA and AWWA-HIWPS.

As these programs develop, AWWA-HIWPS will inform all members on how to access or participate in these programs.

Planning Committee

The planning committee is an integral part to AWWA-HIWPS as this committee creates, executes, and delivers various events to enhance membership community, professional networking, and technical presentations.

Currently, the planning committee is arranging for the following events:

1. 2016 Holiday Mixer
2. 2017 Annual Conference
3. Pipe Tapping Competition
